Week 4, Thing 8: RSS & Newsreaders
RSS is a nice way to keep up with news, blogs, etc. I've just never had the interest in doing that! I wish I had the time to read everyone's latest -- maybe when I retire! : )

Week 3, Thing 7: Create a Blog Post About Anything Technology-Related
My favorite technology things are my flash drive and my iPod -- love creating those playlists!
Also, I've been working part-time at IT during NC's renovation and have learned quite a lot about podcasting, audio files, etc. while researching something for Karl.
I hope we'll be able to have some sound -- and maybe even video -- files on our website and Intranet soon; these could be great training tools for staff, or just fun stuff for the public like storytelling, promotions, etc.

Week 3, Thing 5: Explore Flickr
I have used flickr before, but only to view other people's wedding or party pictures -- I had no idea there were so many interesting photos there.
This photo is amazing -- probably the most dramatic thing I've ever seen; I wonder how long the photographer waited for this . . .
I haven't been able to get the photo to actually appear in my blog using Blogger's photo upload tool; when you click on the white space above the blog text, it links to the picture on Flickr.
Week 2, Thing 3: Set Up Your Own Blog
Pretty simple -- the most traumatic issue was thinking up a name for my blog. As you see, I got really creative!
Week 1, Thing 2: Pointers from Lifelong Learners
7 1/2 lifelong learning habits
The hardest habit for me would have to be #3 - view problems as challenges. I can get bogged down in the details sometimes. The easiest (actually there are 1 and 1/2) are #4 - have confidence in yourself as a competent, effective learner; and #7 1/2 - play. Playing I can do!
Week 1, Thing 1: About This Program
I don't really remember this -- I started the program about 3 weeks ago!
